“How do I get out of here. I have two girls. We need to get out. This smile, you see on my face, it holds itself. I have family in Canada, they have tried to get us out. We want out. What can we do. Do you know?”

Coffee shop chats, before departing to Jerusalem. At the Goodbye plaza in Ramallah.

We Walk In PAIRS

Side by side, with familiar faces, we walk together. Every little carve into another alleyway became a new section. Russian, Arab, Jew, Muslim.. Each of their own. We walk in pairs.

“You wanna take a picture? Why you wanna take a picture? What magazine do you work for?”

“Ya 3ami, I just take photos.”

THE MAIN PLAZA

No perspective and zero rules when it comes to sketching. That’s the only way it should be.

I sat with Sitty for a while. She told me about her kids and their kids. She told me about her farm. She carries all these grapes from her farm everyday on the bus to bring it to the center plaza. Takes her hours to commute. She leaves when all her delish grapes are gone. Honored to taste from her grape tree.

We made a friend at the plaza who was collecting plastic bottles to be recycled. He wanted to try the board but didn’t know how to ride it. We went back and forth for over an hour racing and learning to ride.
