1. Germany, Berlin
Berlin Germany was once separated between two parts, West and East. They had build a large wall to separate them. Now, that wall is covered in murals and graffiti. Actually, 85% of Berlin is covered in graffiti. I loved seeing all the people in Berlin and the way they dressed. It was like walking through a 50s movie. People were wearing fun hats, large long coats and crazy shoes. People had dogs by their side too.
We stayed with Gabbys friend, Tabby. She had a wonderful personality and her family and home was beautiful. Her home was 4 stories high and the light in her home soaked the entire house in the morning. You can probably fit 60 people in that home, comfortably. Her home was located in the suburbs of Berlin, so in the morning, all you hear is birds and the sounds of the neighbors outside. (or me being loud bc I can't sleep past 9am anymore sorry Krista) I enjoyed talking to her mom a lot. She just had the best smile and the kindest heart. They had a kitten who is about 4 months old who strictly stays in the kitchen due having no jaw. from a tumor removal. She was friendly and liked to eat bread.
The first night we went to the neighbors house for a get together they were having. We met a few really great people including a new friend Zena! I enjoyed that day a lot and was one of the best nights I have spent on the trip.
The next day, we went to the flea market, which is funny because usually on Sundays I go to the flea market back in san francisco. I purchased way too many things that my suitcase can even handle, but it was all worth it. We later went to Marrot's home, where I realized that all homes in Berlin are just so pretty. Her home had large ceilings and my favorite part was the doors. The kitchen was so cute too. (photo below)
The rest of the day we adventured around the city. We got one of the first Doñer Kebab sandwiches and went to a breathtaking view spot. I loved Berlin. I would recommend anyone to go there.
