Mansaf at Ahed, Tarneem, Malik, Mohammad, & Yousefs house

Ahed and Mohammad waited for me on the bottom of the hill near the roundabout to take me to their home. Their home was located in the hire up area of the mountain with plenty of walks up and walks down, instead, Mohammad and I hopped on our boards and skated down the hill, while Ahed filmed us with the camera going down as well.. This series is entirely shot from Ahed eye.

The kids greeted me at the door, welcoming me home.

At the skatepark one day in September, Ahed’s mom came up to me to ask me what my fav dish is. I said…. “Mansaf”

Mansaf is known to be a Jordanian dish, but It’s also cooked and a favored dish in Palestine. The way we eat it (family style) is straight out of the pan. The yogurt sauce is placed on every spoonful bit. This is always an issue for me because with a plate, you can at least limit yourself to eating.

Noor and I went back to visit a few more times. There was a day when Ahed and I wanted to go get snacks. We took our boards and skated/ hill bombed during the night.
