Palestine vs Saudi Arabia
A roaring 0-0.
there was a moment in our servese when we ran into the other group of volunteers. we drove side by side, waving at our friends in the other yellow bus. Small world indeed when were all chasing after the same dreams. That moment made me really happy.
We arrived early and got tickets to the game. They were free.
We got there hours early. We sat against the wall watching the police and buses of groups make there way to the game. We ate falafel sandwiches and had ice-cream. We chanted with the school kids. Tom skated down the hill while I skitched a bike up. Captain Tom was trying something gnarly and landed on glass.
There were soldiers in training. They all shaved their heads. They all wore white. They all smiled and did not lack kindness.
It was a loud and messy when the sky began to turn grey. We hid under black baggies for rain. Hid our cameras. Our shared coffee began to collect water, and stained on our clothing brown. It began to pour so hard, making us all run for shelter. We got underneath shelter but all split up, we watched the rain. we took a moment to breathe, and then right back into the rain to find our way into the madness of the free football game we all so badly desired to attend. They were climbing polls and hoping really large fences. It was a really tight crowd.
